Accurate Analytics

Massive, fluid processes and associated data are invariably prone to defects from a variety of factors, including manual changes, "white space" fall-out between systems or functions, and simple system errors. For many enterprises, the goal is not to perfect order-to-cash and the correlated data, but to manage it through robust, granular, controls.

The approaches to achieve accurate analytics (depicted below) are evolving as enterprises both learn how to attack the issue and become more vigilant in driving gains. Manual, sampled, or single-threaded techniques (those that only look at a single type of impact) have driven some operational and financial gains. However, these approaches alone are becoming insufficient and inefficient given the process complexity, data challenges, and focus on achieving rapid and persistent gains in today's communications, media, and utilities companies.

Automated controls create a step-function improvement in order-to-cash analytics. They enable organizations to inspect data at the atomic level and identify and resolve the granular incidents that, when accumulated, create meaningful financial impact. Because these controls are automated, they become permanent assets that create persistent value for the enterprise. In essence, they become part of the process itself.
